Approximately 96” x 36”
Hand knit. This piece I cast on while visiting family in Eastern Colorado. Then worked on it on and off over the next few months and finished while we were wintering on Galveston Island.
Yarn: 38% silk, 38% suri alpaca, 24% wool.
The Suri/silk blend was a lace yarn I’d picked up from Yarning-a yarn store in Albuquerque, NM. Had no idea what I intended to do with it at the time. The dyer is an Arizona Indie dyer- Hot Magenta Yarn Company. I found a mint silk/merino yarn-Delish by Jody Long to pair with it to create this lush, super soft piece.
Color: lime/mint
Care: Best is to Hand wash-Fill a sink with enough cool water to submerge shawl. Add a touch of gentle detergent then add shawl. Soak for 10-15 minutes then repeat with clean water the same temperature but no detergent for a rinse. May bleed a little. Do not agitate or shawl could felt. Gently squeeze water out, block to shape and let dry.
